1st Destination Mekong Summit (August 25)

TICA and its members came together to explore tangible and actionable recommendations for the industry, with regards to the current COVID-19 situation. Featuring international experts, recommendations, and professional insights, the Virtual Destination Mekong Summit was intended to help travel businesses prepare for a balanced tourism recovery.

MI Clinic (August 25-28)

“MI Clinic” is an online interactive dialogue with TCEB’s overseas representatives, in 7 strategic markets. Created by TCEB’s Meetings and Incentives Department (MI), users were given a 15-minute session in which they were encouraged to share market knowledge or concerns with the market representative.

The Future of Business & Leadership (August 13)

The business world is transforming. This informative webinar took place on Thursday 13th August, 2020. It aimed to explore the evolution of the way professionals work, the leadership skills required to thrive within an increasingly dynamic market, and how organisations can continue to stay competitive in a war for talent and customers.

1st Bid Agent Training Webinar (August 10-11)

TCEB invited members to participate in their 1st Bid Agent Training Webinar. Designed to broaden the expertise and upskill of prospective bid agents, this beginner program was formed to introduce MICE operators to international convention bidding, with a view to becoming part of the Thailand bidding team. Highlight topics included: The Meetings Industry & Thailand’s Position | Why bid for an international convention? | How to hunt for an open bid? | Understanding bid criteria, requirement, decision making process.

TICA Annual General Meeting (July 22)

The 37th Annual General Meeting which took place on the 22nd of July at Centara Grand at CentralWorld featured many different guest speakers and attendees. The event was conducted in line with the Ministry of Health’s recommended health and safety measures, to safeguard the interests of all attendees while embodying the industry’s spirit of cooperation towards navigating the post-COVID business events industry. With a turnout of over 200 MICE stakeholders, TICA wishes to thank all who attended for their support and participation.





ASEAN MICE: Into Unchartered Waters (July 29)
The Asia Community Building Pledge Community came together to bring TICA members an inspiring and enlightening new webinar. Taking place on Wednesday, 29th July 2020, ASEAN MICE: Into Unchartered Waters saw the industry speaking with one voice, with a view to the evolution of the MICE industry.


Thailand MICE Youth Challenge 2020 (July 9)
Taking place at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit on July 9th 2020, Thailand MICE Youth Challenge 2020 was a riveting display of bright and friendly competition. Out of the 19 team applicants, the winners of this year’s challenge were Illuminate team from Assumption University, MICE-ing Stars from Mahidol University International College, and The New MITI from Kasetsart University. The winning teams are now set to represent Thailand in future international MICE competitions.
